To create a new collection, the head designer would sketch an original design that I would then transform into a tech pack using her instructions. The tech pack would show front, back, inside and detailed views of everything necessary, as well as complete material lists. Once we received a sample (usually made in available colors to fasten the process), we’d proceed to a fit and analyze the sample. If any changes were needed, I’d then correct the sketches to match, type up our comments, and connect with our supplier to proceed to the next sample.
